£7,400.00 for lady who trapped her finger in a defective chair in a pub

Yorkshire’s Injury Lawyers recently acted for a client (on a no-win, no-fee basis) who trapped her finger between the base of a chair and the frame as she was about to sit down on it in a public house.  A claim for compensation was made against the owners of the pub and initially the insurers denied liability as they claimed to have no record of the incident. 

After further conclusive evidence was supplied that the incident occurred the insurers admitted liability.  A medical report was then obtained from a hand specialist and a Schedule of Loss was prepared. 

After some negotiations with the insurers a settlement was achieved for the client in the total sum of £7,400
