£2,500 for client who got food poisoning on holiday

Yorkshire’s Injury Lawyers recently acted for a client on a no-win, no-fee basis who got food poisoning whilst on holiday. 

The Claimant was with his wife on holiday in Cyprus staying at a 4* hotel when he became ill after eating chicken from a buffet style menu.  He was referred to a local GP who confirmed he had contracted salmonella poisoning.  The Claimant was in hospital for 3 days. 

Initially the tour operator denied liability but after further correspondence and the treat of litigation liability was accepted.  Medical evidence was obtained and after some negotiations with the insurers settlement was achieved for the Claimant in the sum of £2,500.00.
